The Park located at 7151 East Lakeview Drive, Mobile, Alabama, is officially open. A tentative reopening celebration has been scheduled for September 30, 2025, coinciding with a Harvest Festival. We are committed to providing the community with a newly revitalized and clean park environment.
To address inquiries regarding the park’s status as public or private: The parcel of land encompasses two parks three easements, with a 25-acre lake, collapsed dam, and adjacent rubble, all of which are owned and managed by the Highland Park Community Association, a private corporation. While the property is privately owned, it serves a public purpose. Given the absence of secure boundaries and the reliance on signage to discourage unauthorized access, the park remains accessible to the general public. East Park use is by invitation and membership rules. Plans for future development of West Park and a fishing pond is on the drawing board.
